pidgin-openpgp software package provides OpenPGP plugin for Pidgin, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install pidgin-openpgp
pidgin-openpgp is installed in your system.
Make ensure the pidgin-openpgp package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep pidgin-openpgp *
You will get with pidgin-openpgp package name, version, architecture and description in a table
